London & South 2026 Events

We have an exciting programme of events lined up for 2026

Four workshops are now confirmed and open for booking. Glenn Malkin will lead a Bradel Binding workshop, exploring a continental-style case binding where spine and boards are constructed separately, allowing for creative use of mixed materials. Arthur Green's Fancy Four Flap Box workshop covers an elegant archival box structure made with handmade paper and minimal gluing. Mylyn McColl's Drum Leaf Binding day introduces a versatile lay-flat structure ideal for binding printed content without complex imposition. Hannah Brown will guide participants through Stub Binding for Rounding and Backing, a technique that addresses a range of common bookbinding challenges and allows sections to open completely flat.

Several more events are confirmed for later in the year. Details will be announced soon — in the meantime, save the dates below:

• 5 December 2026: Christmas Lecture and Party

Events run from 10:30–15:30 unless otherwise stated at the Kentish Town Congregational Church, Kelly Street, London, NW1 8PH.  The pedestrian entrance is between 34 & 36 Kelly Street and there is limited car parking at the rear of the building on Church Avenue, off Kentish Town Road near the corner with Prince of Wales Road. If you plan to bring a car, we recommend that you check if London Congestion Charges apply. 

Tea and coffee are available throughout the day and there are local cafés and sandwich shops within a few minutes walk. There is a lift which can be used when an event is being held in the 1^st floor hall.

Non-Members are welcome to attend any events once at the member rate, and after that, we request that you join the Society of Bookbinders here. Individual memberships start at £50/year, with student rates at £30/year. 

Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event are non-refundable, as places may not be filled at short notice.
