Gordon Hartley Memorial Fund — Conference Bursary 2026
A full bursary for the 2026 Conference is available in memory of former SoB Chairman Gordon Hartley.
The Gordon Hartley Memorial Fund is offering a full bursary for attendance at the Society of Bookbinders Conference 2026, taking place at the University of York, 14–16 August.
Gordon Hartley served as Chairman of the Society of Bookbinders until his death in 2007. As a latecomer to bookbinding himself, the award established in his memory is intended for a more mature person who is changing their career to bookbinding.
One bursary is available. Applications are invited from those who meet this criterion and feel they would benefit from attending the conference. For an application form and further information, please contact David Cotton, Midlands Region Chairman, at [email protected].
