I have trained as an apprentice under my father and other masters in Fes, Morocco for more than 10 years, where I earned an Ijazah (traditional certification) in the art of geometry with recognition in the art of engraving and Moroccan leather bookbinding. I hold an MA degree in Moroccan Cultural Studies from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fes, where my academic work centered on the cultural history of traditional Moroccan crafts. I am also an Andalusian oud, lute and guitar player.
