Workshop with Gillian Stewart: Painting and illustrating for endpapers and decorative papers
11th July 2020
This workshop will focus on the process of responding to a text block creatively to make illustrated papers. As part of the design process, we’ll cover sketches and ideation, and then several methods of painting with inks, water colours and acrylic paints. These papers can be used as endpapers or book sides, and hopefully you’ll leave inspired to develop your ideas at home. You’ll also be talked through the process of making painted endpapers that allow the design to develop over several leaves.
