Visit to Berkeley Castle and Library
May 19 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm
Midway between Bristol and Gloucestershire, Berkeley is the oldest castle to be lived in by the same family for nearly 900 years. It is where King Edward II was murdered. The Muniment Room has documents dating back to 1254. 10.30 arrival, 11.00 talk by the Castle Archivist followed by a short talk from our very own Caroline Palmer on her conservation work. Lunch will be followed by a tour of the castle. Also see the Butterfly House in the grounds.
