The Intermediate year will be taught by Nesta Davies and Angela Sutton, and will concentrate on two bindings, a quarter leather hollow-back binding sewn on tapes  and a half leather tight-back binding sewn on raised cords.

The course will include (or introduce you to!) leather paring, knife use and sharpening, and different types of laminated boards, hand sewn end bands and endpapers. It should both introduce new skills and techniques  and tighten up those already learnt. We like to see it as a firm step towards our third (Advanced level) year – so the best practice possible will be our aim!
