Long Stitch Binding 1-day Workshop

In this one day workshop we will produce simple card covers and create multiple different patterns of long stitch. This is a wonderful adhesive free structure that can create a myriad of different finishes.
This is a practical workshop conducted online via Zoom. There is a limit of eight participants. As this is a repeat of a previous course, preference will be given to those who could not attend last time but those people should confirm that they are still able or wish to attend.
A materials pack will be posted to participants in advance for which there is a charge of £6. Participants will need the following equipment:
- Cutting Mat
- Craft knife or scalpel
- Steel rulers
- Sharp pencil
- Bone folder
- Bookbinders Needle
- Masking tape
- Small glue brush
- Waste paper

Instructor Mylyn McColl has been working as a professional bookbinder and box maker for 15 years. She has studied fine binding and honed her craft within various trade binderies across the UK and is an active member within the bookbinding community. Mylyn now works from her small bindery in Wiltshire and is Principal Tutor for Bound by Veterans, she teaches to City & Guilds standards at a variety of venues as well as providing online tuition, she takes great pride and pleasure in creating and sharing this ancient craft.
