Join the Society of Bookbinders

Membership is open to anyone who supports the aims of the Society, be they bookbinder (professional or hobbyist), conservator, librarian, book lover or collector. All categories of membership (see below) will receive the Society journal, BOOKBINDER, national newsletters and details of meetings in their region.

HOW TO JOIN

Note that annual subscription runs from 1 January to 31 December (there is no pro-rata rate).

You can join online now via PayPal using the SUBMIT button below. Payments are made via PayPal and please note that it is not necessary to have a PayPal account or to create one – we use PayPal only as the receiving agent for the money from your PayPal account if you have one or from one of the credit or debit cards shown below.  Once you have reached PayPal you will be offered the choice of paying from your PayPal account or from a card and if you choose this option you will be asked for your card details as is usual with online transactions.

FULL MEMBER:
£40.00 GBP

This will apply to all members except for the following categories.

JOINT MEMBER:
£55.00 GBP

For two members living at the same address, both equally eligible to attend and hold office but with only one copy of each newsletter and journal between them.

CORPORATE MEMBER:
£80.00 GBP

Any corporate body wishing to belong to, and to support the Society.

AGED 25 & UNDER:
£25.00 GBP

As Full Member but benefiting from a reduced subscription rate.

OVERSEAS MEMBER:
£45.00 GBP

Those living outside the UK who wish to join the Society.

HONORARY FELLOW:

Honorary Fellowships are awarded by the Council to a member considered to have contributed outstanding service to the Society.

HONORARY MEMBER:

Honorary Membership is on the recommendation of a Region to the Council
