SARAH GROSVENOR Since qualifying in bookbinding from Guildford College in 1993 Sarah has been providing innovative and sympathetic solutions to various repair and restoration problems. Her work has been inspired by her earlier training in textiles and her primary aim is to retain the ‘feel’ of the original item. So, for example, Sarah will dye down paper and leather to match an original as closely as possible. She will work with customers, incorporating their concepts or views of the item into a finished design. For specific or design bindings Sarah will hand print unique endpapers. She works using a range of materials but predominantly with cloth and fine goatskin.
Sarah has worked with a range of private customers in Surrey and beyond and has several corporate clients, including the Royal Grammar School, Guildford; the Royal Horticultural Society, Wisley; and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Trust.
