13.03.10 Full day workshop with Chris Hicks.
Main topic will be the making of a drop back box.
Village Hall
Ruishton
(a short mile east of J25, M5, i.e. Taunton)
24/25.04.10 Our Wheddon Cross weekend. We have lured Deborah Evetts to beautiful Exmoor for a workshop covering headbands and edge decoration.

Deborah is a leading US designer binder and conservator. Her first job was with Roger Powell (restorer of the Book of Kells) and she went on to be Head of Rare Book Conservation at NY's Pierpont Morgan Library, and book conservator at the Carolyn Horton Bindery. High powered stuff for our region! Very much a 'one off' and not to be missed.

A ‘find your own accommodation’ event with Sarah Burns again offering us a Saturday evening meal.

12.10.10 Visits to our suppliers. Start at a large scale commercial paper makers, St Cuthberts Mill just outside Wells (makers of the 'Somerset' range of art papers amongst much else). A pub lunch for those who wish, and on to Midgley’s, leather factors in Cheddar. They are not tanners, and hold no specialist bookbinding leathers, but I shall be very surprised if you cannot find something of interest in their enormous range.
02.12.10 Our usual sociable Christmas lunch. We're currently looking for a venue in Exeter and may be able to include a library visit as part of the day.
Please contact our Programme Co-ordinator if you would like to attend any of the above events.
