EVENT VENUE 18.09.10 Demonstration/Workshop by Maureen Duke. Maureen has been a bookbinder and teacher for over 60 years. She is an Honorary Fellow of the Society, and has served both as Chairman and President. Maureen will demonstrate her Sketchbook with Flexible Joints, and also give us advice and tips, which she calls Duke's Dodges! In the afternoon we will make our own Sketchbooks. Those signing up for this event will be given a list of materials and tools to bring. Contact Judith as soon as possible.

A hands-on workshop aimed at the complete beginner or for those wanting to practice and improve their technique.If you have never tried gold finishing before, here's your chance to make a start. This workshop will concentrate on the tricks and techniques to put lines on boards. All equipment and plaquettes to practice on will be provided; we will be using ONLY gold foil; not gold leaf, so the methods can easily be mastered. Numbers will be limited, contact Judith to book a place.
