Corners consolidated, repaired and made up where necessary. Leaves re-guarded with dyed aero-linen, book re-sewn, Islamic style headbands sewn on, spine lined, missing areas of covering leather made up, boards reattached with aero-linen joints under Victorian marbled pastedowns, original siding paper replaced.
This was a restoration which the judges found to be very much in keeping with the original and also commented that it was a very difficult project, tackled well.
